Twice a month we offer our Friendship Club. Adults get together to play cards, socialize, enjoy some snacks and chat in a supportive environment.
All Ages | Few Times a Year
The Centre offers a goods bingo a few times a year. All members of the family can participate. Residents must register and there will be a small fee to attend. Canteen also available.
Seniors 50+ | Twice a Month
Twice a month we offer a light lunch and a game of bingo to our 50+ seniors. The focus of this program is to get seniors out to socialize and find support in a fun and supportive environment.
Kettle is On
All Ages | Twice a Month
We offer our Kettle is On program twice a month at lunch time. We serve a home cooked meal with dessert, tea and coffee for our community members. We strive to provide healthy meals during this program to promote healthy eating and wellness. This program is opened to all residents in the community.
For parents with children aged 0-5
Starting Wednesday October 18th, 2023 for 6 weeks. 10:00-11:00am.
Childcare and transportation are available if required.

Ages 0-5 | Weekly Drop-in
Children take part in play/gym time, crafts, and story time. We also provide them with a snack. This program allows an opportunity for the parents/guardians to socialize and chat with each other about parenting as well as take advantage of the many resources we offer.
Ages 18-49 | Twice a Month
During this program we do different activities such as games, crafts and outings. This program gives the adults in the community an opportunity to come together for socialization.

This is a one on one tutoring program for youth who are having difficulties with school work/ literacy issues. Limited numbers are accepted for the program. Assessment and screening for the program will be completed by the facilitator.
Ages 6-18 | Twice a Week
Offered to youth ages 6-18 years of age. Assist school age children and youth with homework in various subject areas. This program takes place at the Outreach House from 6-7 pm on Tuesdays and Fridays 3:30 – 5:00.
Our recreational programs are thoughtfully curated to cater to all ages, ensuring there’s something for everyone to enjoy. From youth group to 50+ summer program, our diverse offerings promise a vibrant and engaging experience for every member of our wonderful community.

Children in kindergarten to grade 6 are provided with a healthy snack (sponsored by Kids Eat Smart Foundation) and take part in fun activities to keep them busy and keep their minds moving such as sports, crafts, literacy, and various types of outings.
Grades 7-12 | 2 Days a Week
We begin the program at the outreach house where they engage in 30 minutes of homework as a part of our Homework Haven program (sponsored by CCA). They then take part in various activities such as sports, crafts, games, baking/cooking, outings, and hanging out with friends in a safe environment.
Kindergarten – Grade 6 | 5 Days a Week (7 Weeks)
We offer summer camp for children in kindergarten to grade 6. This camp runs five days a week for seven weeks. We offer day trips to various places around the city such as Salmonier Nature Park and Marine Drive. We also do daily outings to local parks and swimming pools. We organize fun activities, play games and sports in our gym as well as serve healthy snacks and lunches.
50 Plus Summer Program
Ages 50+ | Weekly
This program is offered to those 50 plus and includes a weekly activity which mostly consists of outings to various attractions in and around the St.John’s area. There is registration for this program with limited space is available.

Our public health nurse is located in our centre and has a focus on Healthy Baby Club, Postnatal Healthy Beginnings, Long Term Healthy Beginnings, Child Health Clinics, Preschool Health Checks, School Health, Day Cares and communicable diseases.
Our Nurse Practitioner provides a range of health care services which include diagnosis of illness, referrals, prescriptions for various conditions and support around other health issues.
